We're working on a project at my office that involves shots of activites in the QC.
So...what better way to give props to FORC than putting them in the video?
My crew at work would like to shoot @ Sylvan on Wednesday, July 30, around 5:00/5:30pm - weather permitting. We'll need to get shots of people riding around the sweet parts of the island that are easily accessible. We'll probably need around 10 people. If more show up, great. So come "represent" in your socks, jerseys, bananna hammocks and leather chaps (ok...no hammocks or chaps...really)
Please note: All participants will have to sign a waiver for use in the project. Being shot is no guarantee of being in the vide - that is more dependent on the script, and the client's wishes during the edit. I will, however, get this footage cleared for FORC use.
Questions? let me know.
I have not been on the island in quite some time; heard it was a mess. Is this the place for a shoot?
Obvious to me as well. However, I am outvoted by the client's project scope and wishes.
Sylvan is going to have to work given the deadline and ease of getting gear across. Since this particular part is also in reference to the Illinois Quad Cities, Sylvan is more ideal due to it's proximity to Moline and Rock Island.
Had this not been the case, I would have had it at SBP in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, we're not shooting a movie - just need a quick garden variety of bikers on trails. So we won't need large distances, or huge groups. I'm sure we can find a trail for what is needed.
We will be there around 5:00 for setup. Whomever shows is who we roll with. When we have what we need, we'll wrap it up. Depending on how well the takes/shots go, we won't necessarily be there long.
Why don't we help out Ryan with his project at 5 PM and then we can go ride at Scott County Park? Bring stuff to wipe down your skin after Sylvan because the poison ivy is pretty lush.
I checked Sylvan's condition over the lunch hour. It's just "dry/wet" to make this work. Luckily, we don't need a lot of shots, so we won't be rough on the trails.
Be sure to bring bug spray.
See anyone at 5:00.
