Default Criterium parties - Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th

Time to start thinking of new skinny bike taunts. This year's 50th annual QC race is being held again in the Village of East Davenport, and you're invited to my place on the route to watch.

Teague is having pancakes and mimosas before the race, 7:30 - 9:30 am @ 2561 Middle Road, Davenport IA

My address is 30 Hillcrest Avenue, Davenport IA

We'll be hanging in the front yard, not much shade, so bring your picnic rig. Beer potluck in effect. We'll have some food but feel free to bring something to share. Last year was a hoot including a renegade fat bike lap during the rain storm.

    Race schedule/route:

    Later,
    Lyle

At this point I'll be racing in the Cat 5. I'll stop over after the race, probably... or more likely pull off at your place on whatever lap I decide to give up on.

Rad. Last year a rider cramped up on the hill, rolled into the yard and was quickly medicated, by one of the many experienced pharmacists in attendance, with a cold PBR compress.

Dibs on a spot on shitbiscuit's grassy knoll!

Renegade fat bike laps are a decent time.

Sun's out gun's out = bad idea. Got a lite pink burn & top of feet itch. Can't imagine Steve & Sass lobsters.

Thanks for cheering me on. It was fun to have large parties of friends at each end of the course and all along the front stretch.

One last thing! Big shout outs to Struck, Teague & Andrea, and Guldy. Struck showed up early with his incredible smoker and cooked a dozen racks of seriously good ribs. Teague & Andrea put together a killer breakfast, if you missed out, don't miss it next year. Guldy unexpectedly passed the hat to cover ribs & ice. This group knows what it takes to make fun stuff happen, so thanks again to everyone who contributed to the fun.
