I see there is a 3.5 inch tire minimum, any exceptions for a 29+? Or does anyone know of any 29+ 3.5 tires?

Minimum 3.5" wide tires are required in attempt to equalize the field regardless of conditions. Ex - no snow and frozen earth, 29+ and 29" bikes would have a substantial advantage. Thanks for asking and Good Luck!

All I can say is that nothing is going to prevent me from riding the crotch. Nothing!!

Bummed the river is rising. The section along the shore was one of my favorite parts of the course.

Fat bikers: a few of us are going to be cleaning up the area around the "homeless area" on Saturday morning at 8. The city will providing a dumpster for us to use. As of right now not sure what else will be provided. Worst case bring thick gloves. More to come and appreciate any help to make the course a little cleaner for the race.

How far will the dumpster be from the homeless camp? Wheelbarrows? Trash bags? Hope the homeless are gone by 8am!

The dumpster is next to the lodge so it's pretty far. I just received word that I can get my truck closer to the wood line, so we just need to worry about from the woods to truck and then the truck to the dumpster. A few wheelbarrows would be good. Ray and I have a plan to dragging plan with fat bikes and a tarp. I already have 50 contractor trash bags so we are good there. Just make sure you bring some good clothes to protect your hands. also a few of us may be brewery stomp afterwards.

HEY, save $5 to put toward Potluck, Raffle, or Rudy's Tacos @ FFFFest! $20 online registration ends Thursday night; bumps to $25 register day of event, on paper, standing in line, etc.

    More FAQs and Race Details
Fondo route is a series of slalom-like gates that your fat bike must go through. Don’t disappoint your fat bike -- ride it through gates, push it, pull it, drag it -- it must go through the gates.
No need to pull over by a gate to let folks pass you, they earn it, no whining. Intentional blocking is lame.

Ties - categories that complete same number of laps, the award/win goes to whoever got that number first. Ex - say 5 teams complete 8 laps for a five-way tie for 3rd place. Team that completed 8 laps first wins the medal.

Fondo last-lap cutoff 1:30PM; depart after that and you’re wasting beer drinking time.
