Kids Race: Kids also race for prizes! (Registration is still required for kids races, but kids race FREE.)

Pre-register here by September 23rd at midnight to guarantee you will recieve a Hammer swag bag, PAMBA tote gym bag, and cool beer glass.

Hey guys, here is the low down for the weekend:

Friday
Friday afternoon, the DH and XC course will be marked and ready for pre-riding.

Campground opens at 5:00. Be sure to stop and pay your $5 camping fee at registration. *Sorry but no ground fires. We will have a community fire but if you have a free standing fire pit, you are welcome to bring it to use.

Friday evening, night ride at dark. Meet up around the main tent at 7:00.

Saturday
Registration opens at 8:00 and closes at 9:30 for the DH race.
Mandatory riders meeting at 9:45 at the DH start area.
Novice starts at 10:00, Advanced starts at 10:30 or after the Novice is complete
There will be limited shuttles to the DH starting at 9:00 until 9:30.
*After the DH finishes, Ms. Howie is going to be kind enough to provide a complementary lunch for anyone who is hungry!

At 2:00 a group of the most enthusiastic mountain bikers ever will be riding. They are HARD CORE, and they get free ice cream when we're done. (A.K.A. Kids ride at 2:00)

Festival games begin at 5:00 with prizes!
*Derby races
*Huffy toss
*Bunny hop contest

Movies under the stars start at dark

Sunday

XC racing at normal times

Not that anyone asked but I think I am going to skip the race. Been looking at the series race points and I will be unable to make it to the podium. My only chance at third place would be me winning the race AND Tony Cameron not showing up. Going to save my travel and race entry fee for the following weekend at the Burrito Buster!!

Friday night travellers.... Peoria got a fair amount of rain Thursday night. Debating if I want to go down tonight and experience what will probably be less than favorable riding conditions. Poor PAMBA. Mother Nature has not been very kind to them. I texted a few of the Peoria folks this morning and they thought that if it stayed dry today, which is forecasted, that the night ride tonight should happen as planned with a few wet areas. I may wait and head down first thing Saturday morning. They said they'd give me an update on trail conditions later this afternoon. I will post what they have to say when I hear from them....
